Asset Management
Asset Management is a systematic process of deploying, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets cost-effectively. It refers to any system that monitors and maintains things of value to an entity or group. It may apply to both tangible assets such as buildings and to intangible assets such as human capital, intellectual property, and goodwill and financial assets.
At Rodger Young Ltd, we examine the need for, and performance of assets and asset systems at different levels. Additionally, we use the application of analytical approaches towards managing assets over the different stages of its life cycle (which can start with the conception of the need for the asset, through to its disposal, and includes the managing of any potential post disposal liabilities).
We also see Asset Management as the art and science of making the right decisions and optimizing the delivery of value. A common objective is to minimize the whole life cost of assets but with other critical factors such as risk or business continuity to be considered objectively in this decision-making.
